1 Year Old

Back on March 4th our little guy turned 1 year old! So exciting!
This past year with this cute boy has been so fun. He's learning so fast and doing so much now. He definitely keeps us on our toes.

Here are the stats from his 1 year check up:
Weight: 17 lbs 1.5 oz (1%)
Length: 27 1/2 inches (1%)
Head: 46 cm (42%)

I sent this picture to my sister one night to show her that Corbin was really in need of a hair cut. His hair lays down so nicely that you don't notice just how long it is until you spike it up when it's wet.
Here's Corbin enjoying a sucker and then munching down on Cheetos. He loves being able to eat things on his own. His favorite things to eat are Lil' Crunchies (they're like Cheetos for babies), bread and Cheerios. If he's not getting what he wants to eat fast enough, he'll start screaming as loud as he can until he gets it. And he's reaching the point where he doesn't want to eat baby food anymore.
He walks everywhere and climbs everything he can. He loves the stairs and can go up them without a problem and is starting to learn to go back down. He still loves putting things on his head like a hat. He also still likes to put necklaces around his neck. He absolutely loves baths and will come running to the bathroom if he hears the water running.
Some more of his favorite things include playing with my cellphone, unrolling the toilet paper, trying to open the fridge and microwave, and playing with the dishwasher. He is a busy little boy and it doesn't help that he has a great teacher for a big sister.
The classic Corbin look with his tongue hanging out.

One of Corbin's very favorite things is playing with balls or balloons. He will chase them all over and will even kick them around sometimes.
Did I mention that this boy likes to climb on things? He's a little monkey!
Corbin loves to look at books and will sit for quite a while with a book just turning the pages over and over again.
He loves putting things on his head so much that I got him this little hat for his birthday.
Corbin is a snugly little guy. He loves to give hugs and kisses. Lately he has gotten really into watching Mickey Mouse cartoons. He will snuggle up with me at night and want to watch the new Mickey Mouse shorts. One night he kept reaching for the computer and saying "ahh" over and over again until I turned them on. Then he snuggled up to me to watch until the cartoon was over. When it stopped, he got restless again and was reaching out and saying "ahh" some more until another one started. That's when I realized that that the sound he was making was his way of saying Mickey.

He babbles a lot and also seems to be trying to say words like DaDa, MaMa and ball.
Corbin adores Leah. He will follow her around the house trying to chase and play with her. It is so fun to see them playing together.
Corbin has 8 teeth still, but that will be changing soon. I can tell that there are several teeth on their way.

A couple things that Corbin hates include being in his crib (he's been sleeping in our bed A LOT lately), having his diaper changed (sometimes he refuses to hold still which makes the process very frustrating), and getting buckled into his car seat.

We love our "Buddy Boy" so much and we are so glad to have him as part of our family.
