Twinners

Last weekend while Ross went camping with his uncle and cousins, Leah and I took the opportunity to go spend the night at my parents' house. I had remembered that Leah and my niece, Makynlee (or as I like to call her "Little j"), have the same jammies so we dressed them alike and took a bunch of photos. We had a lot of fun doing it. These two girls are exactly six weeks apart and always do really well together. It will be fun to see what they are like when they get bigger. Here's a video of us trying to get them to smile. The funny noises are courtesy of their Grandpa Tucker (my dad).

While Leah was having fun with her cousin, Ross was also having a great time with his cousins. They went camping and fishing at Scofield Reservoir. Ross got a fishing license for the occasion and did pretty well. I think he caught a total of 4 fish and they kept most of them. But Ross knew better than to bring them home. I HATE fish and Ross doesn't eat that much of it either. So they would have grossed me out and gone to waste if he had brought them home.

Needless to say, camping in Utah in October is rarely a warm experience. But they all managed not to freeze completely and still had fun together. Thanks to the Miller family for always being so great to include us on fun things like this. We love the Millers lots! Here's a shout out to my dad! Another great reason for spending the weekend at my parents' house was that it was my dad's birthday. On Saturday, he smoked some pork. So for his birthday dinner we had some yummy pulled pork sandwiches. It's great to have a dad who loves to make such good things to eat!

Here he is blowing out his candles with the help of the grandkids. You might have noticed that this is as very small cake. But Megan was the only one who ate any of it that night. The rest of us enjoyed the Marie Calendar's pies you can see over on the right. Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!
