Ross got a couple days off in October for fall break. So he took advantage of the long weekend by taking a trip to West Virginia to visit his brother, Kyle, and his family. Kyle is currently going to school at West Virginia University. I tried to get Ross to write up something for the blog, but I haven't been too successful. So I'm going to wing it and write something myself. Hopefully I won't get too many of the details wrong.
One of the activities they did was visiting a pumpkin patch/farm.
They went on some hikes. They were hoping that the leaves would be full of changing colors, but they were still just a little too early. The leaves were starting to change, but they didn't see the vibrant colors they were hoping for.
It was Kyle's birthday while Ross was there (part of the reason why Ross went when he did.) So they did a few fun things to celebrate. Here's Kyle and family with all his opened presents and cards.
Kyle took Ross over to West Virginia University campus to check out some of the athletic facilities. He has an internship job in the athletic department doing NCAA compliance work for them. (Ross and Kyle really wanted to go to a WVU football game together, but they weren't playing at home that weekend.)
Kyle and Amy have two little boys who are about the same age as our children so he probably felt a little at home having those two around (but Ross says their kids sleep much better than ours though).

Ross really enjoyed his trip to visit Kyle and Amy. It would have been nice if we could have afforded for our whole family to go. I really miss having Kyle and Amy around. Hopefully they can move closer after he graduates.
