Hee Haw Farms

Back in early October, my sister, Lyndsee, had the day off. So we decided to get together and do something fun with the kids. We met at a park and let the girls play for a while and then went to a pumpkin patch called Hee Haw Farms. The weather that day was beautiful (almost too hot at times) and the girls especially had a great time spending the day together.

 

The pumpkin patch wasn't quite what Lyndsee and I had expected, but the girls had so much fun. They climbed the ramp to the top of this hay stack and went down the slide over and over and over. We had a hard time getting them to do other things.  

They loved the pony ride. And this giant slide was another one of their favorites. They shared a gunny sack and went down more times than I can count. We had a hard time getting them to leave this activity too.

Sitting at the very back of the trailer for the hay ride may not have been our best idea of the day. It was a bumpy ride!

The girls had fun exploring around the pumpkin patch before getting back on the hay ride. On the way back, they got candy from people dressed as characters like Snow White and Winnie the Pooh. They thought that was pretty cool.

The girls also enjoyed some of the other little activities they had like the hoop toss, bean bag toss, tether ball, and the corn kernel pit (a giant sandbox filled with corn kernels). Makynlee especially enjoyed the corn pit. She left with boots full of corn kernels. I don't know how she could even walk with all that corn in there. And just before leaving Lyndsee let the girls each pick out a little pumpkin to take home.

At the end of the day, we had a couple of girls who were very tired and very dirty (a couple of mommies who were too.) But they had so much fun. I was so glad we were able to have such a fun day together.
