In July, Leah took swimming lessons at our local recreation center. She had so much fun! She was pretty timid in the water at first, but was doing great by the end of the second week. She had a great teacher who was so patient and fun. Leah loved having her as a teacher.
The only hard part was when another kid got sick in the pool one day, so they had to evacuate Leah's class and they went to another part of the pool to play. This made Leah really nervous and she kept trying to run back to me instead of staying with her teacher. But after talking to her about it a lot and with a little bribing, by the end of the week she would stay in the pool all through class and enjoyed it.
After the lesson, we often stopped to play in the water fountain outside. The kids loved seeing the jumping water.
