The long awaited day had finally arrived! Christmas Day is so much more fun when you have little ones to enjoy it with. Leah is big enough that she knows how fun it is to see what Santa brought and open all the presents. So she was super excited to head downstairs. This was Corbin's first Christmas and he had no problem joining in on all the fun. He loved this ball he got in his stocking.
Leah got this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Super Adventure DVD in her stocking. She was SO excited!! And it has probably turned out to be her favorite gift of the year. She was amazed that Santa would know how much she would love that present. Santa is so smart like that!
Leah picked this giraffe ball toy to give to Corbin. She was more excited to play with it than he was. And here's Ross being silly for the camera.
Leah was so excited to open the new princess underwear that she's been wanting. Could her smile get any bigger?
But she was even more excited to open this set of "Stuffy Tools" as she calls them that she got from Grandma Leslie. Stuffy is a character on a Disney show she likes called "Doc McStuffins." She talked about getting these doctor tools all Christmas season long.
I had put a little barrier in front of our Christmas tree so that Corbin couldn't crawl over and pull things off or pull it over onto himself. But on Christmas morning it was gone. It didn't take long for Corbin to make his way over and start pulling things off the tree. Not surprising, he went for the ball-shaped ornaments first.
Here's Leah in her gift she got from Santa: a Queen Elsa dress from the Disney movie "Frozen." Leah loves this movie and especially loves Elsa. She had originally asked Santa for the Stuffy tools, but when she saw this dress at the store, she was sure she had to have it instead. She asked me one day, "Do you think Santa will know that I changed my mind?" I assured her that yes Santa would know that she wanted the Elsa dress instead. Like I said before, Santa is smart like that!
Corbin liked the cars and more little balls he got from Grandma Leslie.
As a bonus, Santa brought Leah a Sleeping Beauty dress too! This girl loves to dress up!
All too soon, the gifts were all open and we were just left with a fun mess. After a yummy breakfast of biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns, sausage and juice, we got packed up and went to my parents' house for an extended visit.
That evening we went with my parents to visit all my grandparents (it is so convenient that they live so close together). Christmas Day is always so fun! And it seems like you wait so long for it to come and before you know it, the day is over. Oh well, there's always next year I guess.
