At the beginning of March, Leah and I went to a fairy tea party at our local library with a couple of friends from our ward. This was our first time and I wasn't sure just what to expect, but it turned out to be pretty fun.
Here we are dressed in our "fairy finest." I wore a Sunday blouse and skirt with fairy wings. And Leah dressed up in her Abby Cadabby fairy costume. And we both had glitter on our cheeks and eye lids.
Here's Leah with two of her friends, Millie and Ansley.
The Fairy King welcomed us all, and then each of the little girls got to parade and curtsy for him and his fairy court.
While we enjoyed our refreshments, dancers from a local ballet company performed for us. After the tea party, the girls got to meet the dancers and take pictures with them.Leah was really excited to meet Tinker Bell and Peter Pan. Tinker Bell put some pixie dust in Leah's hair. She thought that was pretty cool.
Before we left, Leah really wanted another picture with just Peter Pan. But she didn't realize until she saw the picture later that Tinker Bell "photobombed" her picture.
The Fairy Tea Party is an annual event at our library. Leah seemed to enjoy it and it was a fun mother-daughter activity. Maybe we'll try to go again next year!
